Project MRU Cleaner 1.0.0.4 - Vista Ready and stupid dope

Update 4/15/2007 03:13 pm

New version 1.0.0.5. Click here to there now.

Made a few minor tweaks to make MRU Cleaner for Visual Studio 2005 to be a little bit more Vista-friendly. This little Add-In throws a "Clear Recent Projects" menu item in your File menu - giving you access to a checkbox list of recent projects.

Nice add-in. The only suggestion I would have is to add the "..." after the Clear Recent Projects menu item to let the user know that a dialog will be displayed. Without the "..." it appears that the menu item is just going to clear everything on the MRU list without any user input.

Thanks for the add-in!

Fair enough. Consider it implemented.

Hi, I'm a student at a community college and I found you're website. I use Visual Studio for C++ and we use Visual Studio 2005 and installed that plugin of yours and it worked great! But I was also wondering if you had one for Visual Studio 2003 cause that's the one that I have and use. I tried looking for one on this site and couldn't find one.

Hey Tony,

Sorry, no 2003 version available. I almost never use 2003 anymore.

Great add-in. Are you going to extend it to allow clearing the recent files list also? That would be awesome..

Hadn't really considered it. I guess I could add it in the next version... whenever that will be.

I'm using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and after installing the mru cleaner the "Clear Recent Projects" option is not listed under the File menu. Does this only work for the full version of VS? If so do you ever plan on making a version that works with the Express editions?

Great Add-in. Why couldn't MS have done that years ago.

How do you add this to the File Menu in Visual Studio Express 2005? Thanks

I'm pretty sure the Express versions don't support 3rd party Add-Ins or Packages.

Stupid dope for sure..... I hate Visual Studio.... I hate ASP.net..... I hate a lot of things related to Microsoft....but this tool makes it all just that much more tolerable.

Thanks, whoever is behind this!
